Hebrews 12: 5 & 6Hebrews 12: 5 & 6
“And you have
forgotten that word
of encouragement
that addresses you
as sons: ‘My son, do
not make light of
the Lord’s discipline,
and do not lose heart
when he rebukes you.’
’Because the Lord
disciplines those
he loves, and he
punishes everyone he
accepts as a son’ .”

|
O that we would not forget that we are sons of God and joint heirs with
Christ and that part of the wonderful privilege of being children of God is
that He will correct us always and only for our good.
| (a) | God’s discipline proves that you are His much loved child, for the Lord
disciplines those He loves. |
| (b) | God’s discipline is perfectly motivated. Anger or selfishness never
prompt God to take action, only His love and the desire for your best. |
| (c) | God’s discipline works. The guidelines He gives to us in the scriptures,
the conviction of the Holy Spirit and the natural consequence of sin
all work together in disciplining us. |
| (d) | God’s discipline is tailored to you. It is not handed out randomly
or the same to all people but it is according to your need and your
character. |
When Christ returns we will then be as He is, but until then our loving
Father will continue to work in us conforming us to Christ’s image that He
alone may be glorified.

PRAISE POINTS
“I came to know God through your wonderful
message I found in your great newspaper
Challenge” — Ivan Montsinger
“I want to thank God for giving me another
chance in my life. To be here in prison is not the
end of the world. To be here in prison is a blessing
in disguise. To be in prison I committed a crime; I
killed someone. Most of the time I pray to God to
forgive me what I have done. I get this article in
the newspaper called Challenge. I read about my
inmate and the way he found Jesus Christ and to
believe in Jesus Christ. He changed completely
from his wrong doing. So I have done the same
to receive God into my heart, my body, my spirit.
Now I am a new born Christian, I will to work for
God with my heart.” — Morris Smangaliso

We praise the Lord that these two men have
joined the 27,000 plus prisoners who have
already accepted Jesus Christ and have begun a
discipleship program in South Africa.
John Palandri has now commenced work with
Challenge and we praise the Lord for leading
him from good secular employment into faith
ministry with Challenge. Pray for Him and the
family as they adjust to this new work.
For the finances that have come in, including
personal support for the staff and for overseas
projects.
